Welcome to the official website of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated – Delta Delta Lambda Chapter. We hope to keep visitors engaged with this historic and mighty chapter, chartered on January 1, 1947, in West Palm Beach, FL.
This year we celebrate seventy-five years of excellence in beautiful Palm Beach County. Over this time period, we have established a firm foothold on the ideals of Alpha throughout the community. Seven decades have allowed Alphas to enter into prominent positions of service as Black Pioneers (firsts) - all part of Delta Delta Lambda:
LAW: Judge Edward Rodgers, William Holland Sr., Matthew Russell EDUCATION: Ulysses B. Kinsey, Britton G. Sayles SPORTS: Warren Hawkins, Alphonso Sutton MUSIC: Leander Kirksey, Orville Lawton MEDICINE: Dr. Robert Smith, Gartrell Gaines POLICE: William 'Boone' Darden MORTUARY SCIENCE: George 'Lennie' Coleman
Delta Delta Lambda Chapter, in keeping with the Fraternity’s Mission Statement, “…develops leaders, promotes Brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our communities,” remains committed to the national programs and partnerships of the fraternity. These include “Project Alpha,” “Brothers Keeper,” “Go to High School, Go to College” and “A Voteless People is a Hopeless People.” Working with these programs, as well as local initiatives, allows Delta Delta Lambda to effect social and political change on several levels in Palm Beach County.
We hope you will continue to visit here and stay involved with Delta Delta Lambda as we move onward and upward towards our fraternity’s great aims of Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love for All Mankind!
